Wow, Josh- I can't believe you stole my idea! :-) Seriously. I would love to get my hands on some Tympani bass panels right now, to augment the power in the range of about 40-80 hz. I have two Rhtymik 15" servo subs for the very bottom octave, but my room is 16x35 and the back half opens completely into a fireplace room that is about 20x17 with vaulted ceilings...
If cost were no object, I'd get a pair of Wisdom Audio's largest full-range ribbons, and a "swarm" of 8 REL subs. Included in the 'cost no object' price would be a dedicated listening room (2-channel)designed by a professional with lots of experience!
However: I'm not sure if I'd be able to afford this amp to drive the new panels; it's basically priceless!
