Right that's final then,- I'm personally not going to risk bypassing my 2.7 fuses anytime soon!
On a side note, - since you mention the ribbon tweeter repair and I have a suspicion the ribbons in the 3.3R I have bought (not got them home yet) might be past their best, HOW difficult is it to use Magnepans ribbon tweeter repair kit? I've read conflicting stuff on this, - but most people says its doable but pretty difficult and is a long job (like 10 hours or something!) and on experiencing it most of them say they'd rather buy a new tweeter next time rather than do it again. Is there a visual guide page or video of a ribbon tweeter repair somewhere online at all? I am in the UK so buying a new full tweeter and shipping back the old one is less cost effective than spending $150 on the ribbon kit with nothing I have to ship back.
