Crossed Wires

In one of the threads on panel vibration and tweaks, DawnRazor suggested I swap wires......Well, I never got an elaboration on that point. When I said that my preamp has an absolute phase switch and that I didn't hear much effect.........? I don't hear many recordings where absolute phase makes a difference.
Well, the Tweeter panel and the mid/bass panel are electrically out of phase. The 2-way crossover is 1st order and 2nd order which are 90 degrees out of phase. Is this what dawn meant?......change relative phase on the 2 speaker elements of my 1.6s? When I rotated the panels in place, the tweeters ended up 'inside' which is the reverse of Magnepan's intent.

I am now technically closer to the tweeter than the mid/low. The reverse is true when the panels are setup according to 'factory recommendations'.

If so, I can do it without opening my panels........Why not just jumper across? Make up some short jumper plugs and cross 'em? With the tweeters 'in' would I be restoring the phase relationship BETWEEN drivers to factory intent?

Just curious if anyone has a thought on this.
Too much is never enough
