Thanks for chiming in with said details on each of these cables..., as it allows those of us looking into purchasing a pair for ourselves while direction to pursue.
I've concluded after having exchanged quite a bit of e-mail between Tomasz ( TheTubeGuy1954 ) to go with both the Odin Gold RCA | XLR IC's, as I'd at some point before years end, like to see how the latter interacts between a Denafrips Pontus ll DAC | Pathos Acoustic Classic Model One MK ll, as seemingly Alvin over at Vinshine Audio believes the DAC is heard best as a fully balanced connected device, so whom am I to disagree?.
I can like Tomasz, say in all certainty while it has taken me all of 43 years to reach a point in this journey, to be reassured by several friends whom ears I trust more than most, to leave this shit along | stop wondering about the hopefully best new toy around the corner, and merely concentrating my efforts on adding to my current music files approaching 56.000, and in truth, if it isn't about being drawn into ones music collection..., why are any of us bothering I'd ask?.
I've come to firmly believe over the course of the last 5-8 years, it's once the proper cables | cords have been selected, it either makes or breaks the system, provided items like which type of metal plating ( besides pure copper of some sort ) has been chosen properly ask ones AC Receptacle | RCA | Binding Post ( here I'm very fond of WBT | Cardas Audio " pure copper " for binding post ) as well as Viborg AC High Current AC Cords on either of my 4 integrated amps, yet have found in my case..., it's the less than 16-14AWG silver plated power cords placed on both my server | DAC which only added to a sense of realism I've never encountered even at the nicer audio retail shops..., which lead me to believe many dealers have items stored behind their racks or walls, in which the average consumer wasn't aware were altering the overall fidelity of the system.
At this point as the old adage went ( or used to in my youth ) fool me once, good for you, fool me twice | that shit is on me for not having paid attention to your first effort of misleading me on how | what to listen for.
And lastly..., while not the most expensive SCs I've owned ( which cost $1.600-$2.750 ) the Kudos Audio KS-1 silver plated copper SCs are in mind what was needed to unlock, how does one put it..., and extra layer of musicality that I never knew was possible before today. Reality check big time, no need to change something once you're certain it's clicking on all cylinders.
Never again shall I allow myself to be swayed by words or designer labels.
