I tried this model several years ago, as Duster had mentioned them ( or it ) on various occasions..., yet have to say it sounds nothing like the Chinese Odin USB Cable I purchased a few months ago, had the signature been remotely close, I believe my ears would've caught it. In our home, there's an sense of sparkle | top end to lower end integration I hadn't heard in the prior $585 | $650 | $710 | $918 | $945 usb cables I've owned, here I'm talking silver plated copper and pure silver being the best sounding in my system..., the only pure copper usb cable I came away impressed by was the In-Akustik Referenz ( 1.5m | $585 ) which replaced an Australia built Curious USB Cable ( 1.5m | $360 pure silver usb cable ) yet upon installing the $55 Chinese Odin I knew within 20 seconds, it was a keeper. And it has remained my sole cable of choice in said location.
Yet as it seems Alvin over at Vinshine Audio whom is the distributor of Denafrips DACs, believes they're best heard via XLR type IC's to one's amplification stage ( in my case several integrated amps ) hence trying to find anything on said options for the original Chinese standard Odin | Odin 2 and recently released Odin Gold..., at which point I just can't justify being without this type of lovely | extremely well balanced sound ( or better yet, fidelity ) in our current system, I'm more than happy in leaving well enough at just that.
Said last few steps are to be completed..., at which point, I don't feel a desire to change a single cable, especially not for the sake of throwing this very very very rare sense of integration away with the bath water, just because of fashion, or its lower cost.
I H/ear what I hear..., and stand by what simply feels | sounds right..., fuck the hype.
