There's a problem on most GM vehicles made from 2000-2020 or so, the fuel lines are plain steel and they rust. Tell me that isn't a fire hazard.
No recall. As far as I know, most manufacturers have changed over to nylon lines. I just bought a set of nylon replacement lines for my own car just in case.
But wait, there's more. Chevy trucks from the mid-2010s on, there's a ground strap left exposed to road salt and moisture. When it rusts, which it will, power steering will turn itself off preceded by a hard yank on the steering wheel.
And there's not many things worse than a hard Yank on a steering wheel.
No recall.
BTW, I like the Stinger. The Genesis G70, which is mechanically identical, low miles, used, cheap. Very affordable.
