I guess fetishism is the way to audio happiness

If you want it all (like Soundmind), you must be prepared to invest a lot of time and effort into your system since there are so many kinds of music and recording venues. If you have what I called an "audio fetishism" - midrange fetischism, transient fetishism, dynamic fetishism, etc. - in other word, if you can get a sense of realisme from a few key elements, even if others things are kinda screwed up, well, you're a lucky man. The more I think about it, it seems like a more rewarding approach : find what really count for you, and go for it.
