Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

Incredible, you're zero for all!

Folks, ignore this ignorant crap from Todd Krieger.

He's zero for 'n' here.

Todd, the people who build these things have watched this tutorial. They take notes. They engage in discussion. They don't have any problems with this presentation, other than to dig in and discuss details, implimentation methods, etc.

They build things that work the way I say they do.

And they work. The way I described them in that deck.

You, on the other hand, make utterly bizzare comments like "Oversampling is how a digital filter is implemented. It has nothing to do with improving signal-to-noise ratio....."

This shows two things conclusively. You have no idea what oversampling is or does, and you haven't even a faint hint of how digital filters are implimented.

Each of your complaints is wrong. You've really done something else that nobody has done yet, and that's attempt a detailed criticism, and be absolutely zero for 'n' and I mean ZERO for 'n'.

The closest you come is an extraction from context in the question regarding HP filters, and griping about the fact that I discuss only a good filter model for the hear, rather than general filters that are irrelevant to the discussion, and you're even off the tracks there. Your assignment here is to tell me what "filter order" means.

I suggest that you apologize, and give up attempting to deal with digital audio at all unless you're willing to SHUT UP and listen to people who actually know how it works. All you're doing is embarrassing yourself in a positively ridiculous fashion.

It's simple. This deck has been presented to the people who build such things, and presented in tandem with the people who build such things explaining the circuit issues that I do not address. Not only do they like the presentation, they ask for copies. They ask for permission to use the deck in their presentations. They refer to it. They invite me to wander about the landscape to give this presentation again and again and again, until I am frankly sick of doing it.

It should tell you something when all of the experts in the field, especially those who actually build stuff, think one way, and you persist in thinking another. Face it, you seem to be headed for the digital audio equivelent of www.timecube.com, Todd. You're out there, and headed straight off on the 'j omega' axis at lightspeed.

I suggest that you should cease persecuting anyone about any issue regarding digital audio, you simply don't understand it at all.
