Yours was the only good reason I've heard. I would imagine it extends to others but I think many other people just want to dictate what people can and can't hear. You did an outstanding job of bridging the gap between objectivist and subjectivist - a gap that I myself straddle, often times without really knowing the whys and whatfors.

Not at all. Some people believe that if you get one out of many, it's all worth it. :) Well done, sir. Thanks for the explanations. I do trust my ears and have done a bit of testing to confirm certain things but I lack the technical knowledge to understand the causes. I'm hoping that the gap can be further bridged by some testing by subjectivists that can be explored and researched by objectivists (scientists). In that way, the hobby of audio can move forward.
