Daring to put that fourth *identical* CD in there is what my whole point was about. Some simple way of "testing" to see if this person is ACTUALLY hearing differences or merely IMAGINING differences.

I guess faith-based subjectivists would call that fourth CD "unfair" or "immoral" but it would surely be interesting to see what adjectives this man came up with on the fourth CD.

If he had two matching descriptions... wow that would be something.

Why? It would VALIDATE his abilities!! Why are people with *alleged* hearing skill so afraid to VALIDATE such skill? (I think this question has been answered time and time again...)

I am impressed Klaus. Your solution is simple and elegant. This is the kind of thinking that will separate the real from the imagined - the REAL improvements from the snake oil.
