Already they speak of "the proof" and "his hearing ability".If he has this hearing ability - I'd like to see him repeat this test and give the same results... over and over again - or with accuracy better that 50% like the usual scores are when card-tricksters are called upon to repeat their amazing claims. I mean - he sounds SO CONFIDENT that each disc ONLY had the audible qualities he reported, it should be a SNAP for him to repeat this test and give the same results! How about 'close'? How about I bet he can't do it.
There is only ONE SIMPLE reason for only performing ONE ITERATION of this test and that is: This test is not repeatable! This is card trick nonsense. One iteration is not a data set!
The storing of media in different locations causing (wihout explanation thank you) audible changes in playback was assumed and NOT proven or validated.
The hearing ability of the tester was not proven or validated.
Now, tonnes of hot air will be blown which the perpetrators of this nonsense will confuse as some form of scientific debate. Already they have small but devout following. Blind leading the blind as usual.
This is the ugly side of audio that I hate very much. Arts students playing audio engineer or lab technician. It's not even funny. It's really aggrivating.
Then they go on to apply logic to illogically obtained truth.
'If room storage can make a difference, then the *whatever* must certainly have merit'. Wow. It just never ends. If a Sunfire can beat a Porshce surely a bicycle can.
We DO need another forum... called "Pseudo-Science Fair".
Bah. I'm out of here.
Cheers,
Presto
