Hi.I was comparing 45SE WITHOUT NFB vs SS with (conventionally) NFB.
Likewise, I would ask you: do you need DBTs to confirm the soncic difference btwen a tube amp & a transistor amp.
If you do, I hate to say you better change your hobby to something else where ears are not so involved.
May I refer you to Daniel Cheever's Thesis on "Total aural disconsonance (TAD)". To support his analysis, he compared a 45SE power amp w/o NFB vs a SS power amp with NFB. For that very subject, I agree with his findings as it concurs to my sonic impression.
Does one need DBTs to testify such obvious sonic findings? May be you do, but I don't.
As I justed posted, you consider DBTs infallible?
