IMO, you'll need to zero in on the questions you are asking, because in their present form they are too general. You might also explain why you are asking the questions. Otherwise, the answers will not be terribly useful:

Depends on the specific hardware and software.
"Does data get physically moved around once it is read into RAM?"
Data stored in dynamic RAM memory is periodically moved inside the memory chips as part of a hardware memory "refresh" process. Audio data in RAM memory must be moved at least once for it to eventually reach the DAC, but it may be moved more times (by hardware and/or software). Details depend on the specific hardware and software, especially the audio application program, the operating system, the audio device driver and the audio hardware. Motherboard and processor hardware may also play a role.
