If you are going to start by calling me "daft" and "flat-out wrong" then why should i spend time educating you?

If you ask nicely, and non-judgementally, maybe I'll respond.

But think of it another way. Even if we assume that I am completely wrong, then my original point still stands. Your player has twice the level of jitter of what's possible even *with* a PLL loop. And, if there is no PLL loop as you say, then there is no reason why the jitter can't be even lower.

Rather than expending lots of energy trying to prove that I'm wrong, maybe you can actually show us the money by demonstrating a player with sub 20ps jitter. Or at least, show us a player with jitter lower than the Linn CD12, or even the Sony.
