What is going on here?To begin with, we are talking about a transport only, not a complete player.
The discontinued Esoteric DV-50 and the Ayre C-5xe feature the SAME transport and associated Digital Signal Processor made by Pioneer. There is no VRDS-NEO in DV-50. The information about jitter performance you have provided makes it VERY CLEAR that you have no point at all – the jitter performance of the ENTIRE player as provided by JA has NOTHING to do with the jitter of the actual transport/DSP. Otherwise the Ayre and DV-50 would have the SAME jitter specs.
The Bit Clock coming from the big VRDS-NEO is the cleanest I have ever seen. Once I get my Jitter measurement module for the scope, I will provide accurate information on this subject but please rest assured that nothing comes even remotely close to the VRDS-NEO.
I like and appreciate very much your reviews so why don’t you stick to what you know/do best? I think it would be a great idea!
Regards,
Alex
