I think panels might work in the living room if I use something like the MMGWs for rear surrounds. However, I think the room shape and reflections from the tv, window, and mirror compromise the room more than the size of the smaller room would. I'm going to put the 1.7s where my current NHTs are and see how that works.
However, I'm thinking that using the smaller bedroom with room treatments would yield better results than the living room without any treatments. I'm probably going to set them up in that room and talk to GIK about what's the best method to help that room. I have all the equipment, so I wouldn't lose my current 5.1 for my TV.
It's kind of funny. I originally went to the dealer to look at turntables and ended up ordering the magnepans instead.
