Just about anything but a contemporary receiver will do the trick. Many modern receivers have sacrificed 4 ohm capability as an economy measure, which makes them useless for driving not only Magnepans but many high end speakers. But older receivers, and virtually all separate amplifiers, will drive 4 ohms fine. So will some currently made receivers, you have to see if it has a 4 ohm specification, or, if it doesn't, if people have had success driving 4 ohm speakers with it.BTW, don't worry about the doubling power into 4 ohms business. Few amps do that. Peak power into 4 ohms is the spec you care about.
