It can't hurt to use an amp that has high current capacity. But the Maggies will use whatever you feed them. It's not true that thay can't be driven by 40 WPC. They can be. But it is a different experience when they get the kind of headroom that they thrive on.
The Emotiva gear has been very well received here. I'd say that doesn't look like a bad recommendation.
