RE: Receiver or amp to drive MMG

Hi current is a 'red herring' requirement.

even when I have my 1.6s turned up pretty loud in a 5000 cubic foot room, the highest voltage I ever measured was just over 20vac, peaks. 8 to 10 volts is plenty loud enough.

If you want a decent receiver or amp, without breaking the bank, something along the lines of the Outlaw rr2150 or Onkyo A9555 integrated amp.
The Emotiva will probably do the trick, but unless you want to open a welding shop, you probably don't need the monoblocks.

I still can't figure out that 'hi current' thing. My panel has a 4amp fuse. My amp is SUPPOSED to be capable of 45 amps 'instant' current, which would probably be at just a few volts. Never popped a fuse, either.
Too much is never enough
