I used my long ago MG-1s with A Kenwood integrated of about 80x2@4 with good results. And Yes, I liked the 3x more power of my Carver Cube... We're talkin' '80s, here! My listening habits included periods of pretty loud rock.
From our FWIW department, Magnepan has some panels on a 35watt amp in the lobby. Probably just for background sounds.
Emotiva? Sure, why not? I suspect the downside is that of lifetime. We're talkin' years here. Also, I'm a little leery about longterm support. Too many model changes for me....but that's MY problem. I don't change gear much and like stuff that'll be good for a couple decades. If I could afford it, I'd buy Bryston.
