Yup, equipment could make a difference. However, so far, 6 different pieces (3 different stereo power amps and 3 different Denon AVR receivers) behave just the same. That is why I feel confident that some people may experience the enhancement. The one thing I WILL do later, is try to recreate it in another environment.

HOWEVER, this is, largely, not about "soundstage depth" as such. Though it is also enhanced in the process.

The finer point that I am trying to make is the perceived "depth of EACH element" within that soundstage.

I am reminded of those shooting gallery movie scenes where they pop-up "people" & "terrorist" flat carton figures. They are all spread wide and deep.

With the chokes (in the manner I have described) at home:
-- Most figures are no longer flat. They have perceived body.
-- The width of the stage does become very slightly norrower
-- The depth of the stage gains depth
-- The space between figures is more cleanly defined
-- The actual size of some figures becomes more clear.
-- The location of each figure is better perceived

Furthermore, I have asked people in the past to point things out. The only person who could not do it turned out to be partially deaf in one ear.
