I have never seen a Rega ad period.Well certainly not in the UK and that is all I can speak for.
I understood that Rega relied on word of mouth and dealers and let the product speak for itself.
I also thought that this was why they do not get as many magazine reviews as other manufacturers. That they do not play the 'game' of supplying extended review 'loans'.
Their ethos was to spend the money either on R&D of new products or keeping the price down to customers rather than large advertising budgets, which we as end users would have to pay for.
