I got my Apollo back from Rega (through my dealer) on Thursday. There was a note in the box from Rega.
I quote in it's entirety.
(My Name)
Apollo - FOC
Latest Software Updated.
Guess what!It is still skipping on a CD-R that was copied at 4x (well within Rega's parameters) and a Standard Red Book CD won't initialise. It says 'initialising' for about 30 secs and then comes up with the message 'Disc Empty'.
The CD plays fine on my old Kenwood DP7090 which I bought the Apollo to replace.
Everything I have posted regarding 'software upgrade' (including the words 'software' and 'upgrade') have come from Rega, and not products of my imagination.
I have owned the Apollo since mid-December '05 and the serial number is in the mid 3000's.
I am off to see the dealer now (They close in an hour and a half) as I can't get there during the weeek, and am taking the CD's with me.
I have been invited to come and listen to the Saturn in about 10 days time - not sure if I am going to bother.
