CD's have been examined for data and jitter, no difference was found. As far as the software used for that examination is concerned, both CDs are identical.

I think that this case is hopeless, there's no solid explanation, when you ask questions you either get useless answers or are asked to do your homework (which answer isn't particularly useful either), some folks don't bother to answer at all.

This chip could be easily tested in a lab, there's nothing mysterious about q-dots, even the alleged structural changes in the CD (just read machina dynamica's explanation) could be easily verified. Yet the chip's makers and defendors are not willing to provide that effort, and would it only be to put an end to all speculations.

I've asked the manufacturer and Golden Sound, no answer.

On the basis of all what has been said about the chip so far, and judging the "facts", I think it's safe to conclude, just as you did, that the effects heard by some are pure imagination.

One thing that I have to note, if this chip is really that wonderful as it's claimed to be, why don't they sell it here in Europe?
