I agree with Cut Throat, I listened to the touch and its DAC for some time, to me, it did not sound as good as a changer, but real close. I thought the SQ got worse as you turned up the volume, and I'm not talking real loud either, sounded very compressed and flat. It was way short of my Ayre CD player, the SBT does so much other stuff so well, it was easy to overlook the loss in SQ until I could save enough to buy a good stand alone DAC. I ended up with the W4S DAC2, still not as good as the Ayre (thank goodness!) but sounds darn good and is what I listen to 97% of the time. I love the SBT...would like another. Also, I have an older wireless router and have had no issues. I'd really like to hardwire it to the Touch, but it's too far away. I suspect this would improve the sound too from my experience streaming video.
Beware of those that say it sounds as good as a $3000. DAC...it don't! Not even close! (not on this forum) That info caused me a lot of confusion when I started.
