That's a good idea! But I'd need to do more than what those audio renderers do. I need Tidal, and also JRiver for video playback. And the Lynx card as well for SPDIF output in my current config. So I think the best I could do would be to make a box with a mini ATX mobo, external SSD, and external linear power supply.

Otherwise, I have dedicated power lines up here, two for power amps and one for audio gear, so I can keep the big computer etc. separate from everything else. I could put the computer in my office if I remote desktopped to it and ran the monitor off the small one . . . but it's silent so with a separate power line I don't think there's a real need.
