Though often repeated that always struck me as one of the funniest lines in the show. Particularly as the characters were cast in the PBS series.
As trivia I assume you may know Leo McKern also appeared in the Beatles "Help!" Also that his daughter appeared in some "Rumpole" episodes. Fortunately for her sake she looked nothing like him. But I loved him and he was perfect for the part.
