Thanks, for the info. Yeah, I thought it might need a replacement tweeter, and the seller said so too. But the seller was a consignment shop, and said they worked despite, so I was getting hopeful. Still, unless cost prohibitive I plan on replacing and factored it into my purchase. And, you answered my next question on whether to replace both or just the one (would've likely done both anyway).
Question: how will I know for sure it needs a new tweeter? And even if I'm likely to take no chances and order up new tweeters anyway, how will know if I have delamination issues? Must I remove the sock and physically inspect?
Once I get past the getting comfortable stage (e.g., hooking up, choice of amps, placement, and of course wife acceptance, I may be bugging the group on tweaks. Still, I'm excited!
