Thanks for the info. As said in response to another response, I'll likely change no matter what, but was hoping to skate by. Maybe I can until the replacements arrive. Also, will check out sending the whole tweeter unit back to magnepan. I'm technically proficient (I think) so unless Magnepan strongly recommends otherwise, I'll likely do it myself.

Now...as far as 5ft out? I was thinking 2 or 3 feet out! Ouch. Well, these may only the month or two until she finally says they go or I go. Still, it is an experiment vs. a used pair of Thiel 3.5 for roughly the same money. I've got a big room (maybe 15x30longx11tall) so I have high hopes for these Maggies.
