I have the XO-1. It is the only external box I have. Should there be another box containing an external crossover?
The manual, in the Bi-amplification section says: "A. Bi-Amplification with Magneplanar XO-1 -- The XO-1 utilizes a simple, high quality capacitor network for the midrange/tweeter section, and is used in conjunction with the low pass portion of the external crossover for the bass section. This allows the least amount of signal processing, giving the purest possible reproduction of all frequencies. The XO-1 includes controls to balance the bass amp to the mid/treble amp."
Now I am wired from the Adcom to the XO-1 and from the two outputs on the XO-1 to the speaker. There are no external controls on the XO-1. I do not have a manual for the XO-1.
On the XO-1 it says:" XO-1 Bi-Amp Operation - Connect bass amp to input of this box. Connect bass section of speaker to bass output. Connect midrange/tweeter amp directly to midrange/tweeter section of speaker. MR/tweeter output on this box is not used."
I was wired as described on the XO-1 and originally I thought the XO-1 was the external crossover.
