RE: DC output

You are correct in your thinking. If the Threshold is putting out a DC spike with turn on, it will still do this with an active XO. You may not be seeing the problem with the Threshold on the bass now because the fuse is 4 amps v 2.5 A for the mid. You might get away with using a 4 amp mid fuse since that driver is pretty much bullet proof anyway but as I and Andy explained, in the current biamp setup you are driving the mid panel from DC to around 2000 Hz.
You might want to ask your dealer to check for a DC spike on turn on and ask if this is normal.
