Ok, just as I thought. See the post below for details.
I looked at my external boxes and I have both bass outputs on the right.
Unsure why yours are different but perhaps one is not the original box.
Also read the directions on the top of the box for bi-amping. You missed two important point. It says "XO-1 Bi-Amp Directions" (meaning you should be using the XO-1 unit) and the first words are "Please READ bi-amp section of MGIIIa manual."
The XO-1 is a 1st order HP filter (a single cap) for the mid-treble and a gain adjuster (potentiometer) for the bass. It required that the amp with the higher gain (not the most powerful) be used for the bass. The cap value is determined by the input impedance of the mid-treble amp by the formula C=1/2*pi*f*R where f is the desired frequency (500 Hz) and R is the input impedance. This simplifies to 0.318/R mfd. It goes between your pre and the amps and you still need the external XO. The advantage is that you would be using a relative inexpensive low value capacitor (around 3-6 nf) instead of a 60-90 mfd cap as the mid hp filter. I recommend tin-polypropylene Rel caps.
It would not solve the problem with your fuse blowing.
