The mag lev platform was in the style of the relaxa, the speakers were galo's 2 way balls using the dynaudio woofers and galo's 330 degrees tweeters. The sound definitely changed. For better or worse I’m undecidedI never got to spend some time measuring things with a mic, but here's my take on it.
Such isolation on a full range system would introduce more Doppler distortion. Some might take this added distortion as a change, and since they are looking for changes, they perceive a benefitIsolating just a tweeter or the mid and tweeter in a 3 way system might be beneficial though. A mid with a moving mass of 10-20 grams in a 20kg enclosure would probably not introduce any more Doppler distortion from enclosure rocking (high inertia of cabinet), and so benefit from isolation from bass freq vibrations. Think of the average wavelengths a tweeter is trying to reproduce, and then imagine it superimposed over a low freq vibration.
