...why not approximate it by placing the speakers on sandboxes? The sand wouldn't work as well, but it might give you an indication of whether that kind of isolation is a good direction to take. By the way, I am under the impression that you don't like multiple air bearings to accomodate uneven weight distributions in components (previous posts?). How do you address such weight distribution and still use air bearings? I've considered using crazy-balls for the same purpose, but I'm sure the air bearing does the work better. Do you use mass loading to even out the weight accross the component?
