Hi canuck,Search this forum for "Econo" roller bearings and find instructions for getting a set for well under $2. With a set or two of Econo rollers in hand, you can listen for yourself. Don't say I didn't warn you though: you may be very pleasantly surprised.
Also on this forum, you can find some of my posts regarding my Enjoyyourshelf rack, where I've combined roller bearings and air bearings to marvelous effect.
It seems that only those who've listened to the effects of seismic isolation via mechanical low-pass filters, understand my excitement out their enormous sonic benefits. Perhaps as more folks actually listen to the effects, we'll be able to come up with a theory that explains the "why".
Happy Listening!
Barry
