Yes, I come from a middle class background, and have raised myself by my own 'bootstraps' from gang member in the '50's to an audio designer. A few insults about my 'behavior' make little effect on me.
Still, let us look at this 'Shakti' product. Apparently it is an EMI suppression device and this property can be measured. It uses some form of resonant piezoelectric layer of particles suspended in a damping material, to convert the mechanical resonance into heat. DUH! Makes sense to me. Now what about various applications of a product like this? Well, many devices perform better with shielding of various kinds. If someone tried it in a car and the car apparently worked better, I see no reason to belittle it.
