Regarding Oyaide products, the outlets and AC male/female plugs are the most neutral of all those I've implemented although of the Furutech products I've implemented, these give the Oyaide's a strong run for the money and could swing either way depending on system/component balancing.
This is most likely the reason the Teflon tape tweak was a sonic disaster when I implemented it on several critical AC connectors in my system although I could see that the tweak applied to say a contractor grade AC connector would definately make an improvement by damping the resonances being transfered from the plug body to the blades/pin.
It's interesting to note that the further I/we explore in AC connector integrity, the better the sonic results because if one thinks about it, the sound of one's system is directly hinged on the quality/solidity of the AC power.
On a side note, a great budget tweak if you have a high def plasma or LCD monitor, cut off the stock AC connector on the power cord and connect an Oyaide AC male plug... :-)
