There will always be those which claim if it can't be measured it is not real.Given that any device used to measure is so used because our brain figured out how to use it for our needs isn't it funny that many will claim our brain is of lower resolution than a measuring device?
Do I say velocity at a given instant is a figment of my imagination because zero time has elapsed and zero distance has been traveled and zero divided by zero can't equal X number of miles per hour? Amazing how a couple of guys independently convinced themselves otherwise with that "imaginary little bit" H. Just because we might not know what to call the fifth derivative of velocity does not mean we can't use it.
Perhaps some day it will be important for use to be able to measure all that we can feel and hear. But I find it more likely we will spend our efforts on making a bigger screen TV in order to better tune out reality by watching reality shows on TV.
