I work in a health care setting. The placebo effect is real and measurable. But for it to work you must have faith. Not unlike religion I'd say. But this does not mean what you imply. Instead it means our minds (or our state of mind) is capable of causing real physical changes in our bodies. There are scientific reasons for this.There is no doubt that some are under the placebo effect regarding certain audio products. But it is simply not possible that everyone who tries a certain product is. Many will buy hoping to prove something doesn't work...not all who buy will have blind faith up front.
