Re: better magnet wire, better transformer?

Tweekeng, I see the power cable as effectively a part of the transformer, not of the grid. To prove the effect of power cable designs on transformers is best done by experience, as the stuff taught in ee courses and common sense will just lead you to doubts.
Does anyone have any guidelines for picking a good magnet wire for two sets of transformers:
type 1: 9-0-9 30VA center tapped R-core, mostly feeding discrete regulators in digital circuitrsy
type 2: 24-0-24 300VA center tapped R-core, for traditional power amp application.
Primary voltage is 230v, with flexibility on the primary and secondard impedances. My main goal is to lower noise...
It is very hard for my to believe that the quality or design of magnet wire is unimportant for musical component power transformers.
