12DW7's or 7247's

I'm confused. First let me state my newbie status.

I recently got a pair of EI 12DW7s for my dynaco st-35 and checked them on my Precision 10-54 tester. The information on 12DW7 suggests fil. cont. on 2 of the possible 12 buttons. The EI's lighted up on 3. The info on the 7247's suggested that there should indeed be 3 and had different test numbers. Are the 12DW7s and the 7247s different tubes - or is the information on my tester wrong. Could the EI 12DW7s be mislabeled? or do the two nib tubes both have shorts at the same place?

While I have your attention, should I roll the 7247s or the 6BQ5s on the Dynaco to affect the sound?
