So if you have so much tube experience then why are you asking how to wire a pentode as a triode for SE use or how can you use a DVM instead of a scope?

Also correct me if I am wrong but that room looks like a basement or garage with the strand board on the floor? What do you do to acoustically correct your listening room?

If nothing, then how do you know what you are hearing is correct in the sense as being faithful to the origional recording?
