Reality hurts?

"I would think it would be a major point [trivialising 'branding'] for any self respecting audiophile."

As prudent consumers it is our prerogative to trivialize whatever we choose. What I don't buy into, is the notion that audiophiles are selectively immune to or unaffected by branding. No one can escape the knowledge they acquire, be it brands, testimonials, dealers,...oh yeah, "audiophile" magazines.
