It doesn't matter *how*, because they heard it work so it works.
Obviously it works on some level of physics that mere mortals cannot fathom, besides which they heard it work so it works 'cause they heard it work.
Don't bother trying to figure it out. I'm sure the amazing engineers behind the 'chip will come forth with an amazing paper that details how it works, and it will be widely published and probably win many awards for describing how this miracle device bends and outright breaks many laws of physics. By the way, it doesn't matter *how* it works because they heard it work so it works.
Also, because more than one person heard it work proves that it works, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and if anyone tries it and it doesn't work it's because their system isn't good enough, or they have unrefined hearing.
They have conducted extensive tests, meaning they tried it and it worked so it works.
In conclusion, they heard it work so it works. QED.
