RE: A nasty surprise in Adobe Audition

Two points in response to your response:

1. I would like to, but Audition doesn't provide the option of saving files as 24-bit fixed point--it goes from 16 fixed to 20 fixed to 32 float.
2. There is a FLAC converter that can be downloaded and which was written specifically for Audition; that is what I am using. I found it on the internet. It works fine as long as the recording is less than an hour long.
3. Once saved, I have not opened and then saved any of the files again in Audition. To the extent I have opened them, I have done so in MediaMonkey. I am too busy archiving the analog masters, so all I listen to is what I happen to be archiving at the time.
4. The Rosetta 200 goes up to 24 bit 192k; you may be thinking of the Rosetta AD, which only went up to 24 bit 96k.

In any event, it sounds like my past recordings are ok, and since I have now un-checked the box, it sounds like I should be ok for the future. Agreed?
