supposedly some of the SCD-1's potted transformers came wired backwards, as with the PS Audio Power Plant 300 AC regenerators. I've measured mine with a 2 prong, but can't say if I heard a marked difference:SCD-1 Normal way: 55.9v, Reversed 56.5v. I think a lower 'ground plane' voltage is desirable?
PP300 Normal way: 60.9v, Reversed 56.6v.
Since I couldn't open up my Shunyata Cobra being used at the time, I had to alter a lessor cable and have kept that on the PP300, leaving the SCD-1 in the normal plug orientation.
