.. I have had my stock SCD-1 for over 5 years and still enjoy it tremendously. I use HMS Grand Finale interconnects, unbalanced, from the SCD-1 to my preamp, use a PS Audio Plus power cord into a dedicated PS Audio P300 power regenerator, a Neuance shelf upon three Aurio Pros all resting upon a Target shelf. While I have no doubt that mods could make it better I am enjoying my system too much to care.
