I'm your age and have had various models of Martin Logans spanning some 25 years. I understand your affinity to panels.
Out of curiosity, how many fuses, tweeters, and ribbons have you "blown" and, if you know, how does this compare with other Maggie users?
The context of the question is based on your "performance" expectations, which seem to be volume based playing heavy rock / bass material. It appears, from a practical / logical perspective, you would migrate to another Mag model or another manufacturer less prone to the types of issues you've had, given your past hardware malfunctions with the 3.6's.
