@Wazoo,I think you should reconsider updating your XOs. You spent a lot of dosh for your amps. Thinking about all that potential quality sound getting maimed in the factory XOs of your Maggies is more than painful. Believe me, with @1000 USD you will hear so much more detail, impact, transparency, space, beauty, you name it ...
Our babies have so much potential that is thwarted by the ridiculous XOs they come with. I guess Magnepan wants to please the masses. OK, out of the box they are fantastic speakers for the money. But they are sleeping beauties waiting to be kissed by their prince. If you have the capital, invest it man!
I wish I had your monetary headroom. Unless, I suspect my sound is superior already. No offense ;-)
