Hi:
Welcome! Read the Dawnrazor post carefully. The width and depth of your room will play a huge part in whether your tweeters end up inboard or outboard. If your MMG's are too close to the side walls, you probably won't like what you hear... Most prefer appx. ~2 feet or more, without putting the speakers so close together you get a 'mono' presentation. The ACTUAL tweeter DISTANCE from center-to-center will probably remain nearly the same, facilitating a solid 'center fill'. A lot of that (center fill or image) depends on your 'supporting cast'(amp, pre-amp, etc.). As long as you can achieve at least ~3 feet from the wall behind the speakers, along with appx. ~2 feet or more from the sides, you should get good results.
Your Outlaw stuff is well thought of in may circles and a definite over-achiever in many ways, so it's a good place to start w/ MMG's!
Of course, this is a very simplified explanation, and merely a starting point. A few of the myriad variables are mentioned; YOU have to experiment, and it must sound good to YOU.
As a side note: MMG's are very easy to move! They allow you to get a large portion of the Maggie magic for a very reasonable investment. So put the tweeters in both orientations, and post your results. ;-)
Since the comprehension of sweet sound is our most indefinite conception...Music,when
combined with a pleasurable idea, is poetry. Without music or an intriguing idea, color becomes pallor. Man becomes carcass, home becomes catacomb. Edgar Allen Poe
